Grow Up! No! Don’t!
So all my life I have been told that I’m mature for my age. Everyone has always thought I was older than I actually was. Now that I’m getting closser to the age that I tend to act, everyone is telling me that I need to be a teenager. First all the grown ups are telling me that it’s great that I act mature and stuff…then they turn around and say that I sould be a teenager.
Just a little bit ago I was talking to one of the ladys I work with. She was asking me what I could possibly have in common with a 20 year old. First of all, guys mature slower than girls. Second..wasn’t she the one that just the other day told me that I’m mature for my age?! What do y’all want from me?
She also told me that it would probably be best if I didn’t move in with Cory when I turn 18. But wouldn’t that be the stupid teenage thing to do? I’m not saying I think it’s stupid, I’m saying she is saying it’s stupid…I’m just pointing out that it’s the teenage thing to do. Am I right?
I might act like one, but I don’t want to be an adult. Why? Because they can’t make up their freakin minds! Am I suposed to grow up now or not? They love that I act 20 or older…but they want me to stay 17? Tell me something people. Does that make sense to you?!
So..I was a teenager last night. ![]()
Yesterday Leah was getting her hair done (back to her natural blond). Cory and I went to entertain her. lol. Three of the people that were working there (2 ladys and a gay guy) were talking bad about the church that we go to. They said that they were locking us in there and brainwashing us! lol. Anyways..We didn’t like that too much. So Cory had the idea to get chalk and write Bible verses in their parkinglot. :suspicious: So we waited till it got dark, gathered about 9 or 10 people, bought some chalk, and started writing Jesus Saves really big right in the middle of their parking lot. Then Leah had the idea to do that to as many places as we can. So me and Leah went to get a whole bunch more chalk while they finnished there. We were in front of a pharmacy writing out a whole verse when the cops showed up. The first one that stoped asked what we were doing, we all yelled ‘praising God’ and said alright have fun.
Then another passed, turned around, and called it in. Two more cop cars showed up. They finally decided to just tell us to go home, but we have to make sure the places that we did that to don’t care…and if they do we have to wash it off.
We all had fun. And it’s not like we were writing bad things. AND it just washes off! ![]()

People never make sense. All I can say is be what you wanna be, not what people tell you to be =]. You make the most of life that way.
That sounds fun! The greatest part of it is that it wasn’t really graffiti, but religious stuff–so there wouldn’t really be a big way to get in trouble. I’ll have to remember that one =D.

Well, number one it really doesn’t matter what you would have in common with a 20 year old, now does it? If you like that 20 year old or you like spending time with that person.. then that’s really all that matters. It’s not like he’s 50 and you are 12, and he’s a pedo, right? People are so weird sometimes!
About the whole “talking about your church” thing.. who the hell are those people to tell you anything anyways? Seriously, if you choose to go to church, then that’s your choice. I mean how would the gay guy like it if you said “hey you are going to hell because you are gay”. Judgmental much? and HAHA at the bible verses. You know what? It’s just chalk.. they shouldn’t have had a problem with it at all. At least you had fun, though.

Ugh, adults, have to love them. I just hate how they’re constantly changing their minds. Sounds like you & your friends had fun being ‘teenagers’ somethimes doing stuff like that is good. I love what you did with the parking spaces haha.

Yea isn’t that great, first when you’re growing up everyone wants you to act more grown up and then when we become adults people tell us we need to be more childish and carefree. Which is it? heh. Well, glad to hear about another mature for one’s age lady
