Make It Personal

I remember when I was younger seeing a few kids with books that had their names in it. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I always wanted to have my own book like that. A book where one of the characters was me! (Yes, I’m still a child at heart and still want the book.)
Now I have found a site that can do that. One of the cooler books is the Personalized Christmas Story Book. In the book you (or whoever the book is personalized for) are taken on a magical journy with Santa. They have many other books including Disney Cars, Princess, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ratatouille and more. Not just books either they have many other gifts that can be personalized too.
To personalize the books they take your childs name, birthday, address, and friends names. This makes a very special book. ;)

there’s a Dutch version of that site as well! and i once got one for my friend. but that was more of a thriller and then they also put his name in the book as one of the characters! such a fun and personal gift!

I remember those books. My sister has one of the Peter Rabbit story. She was one of the “good bunnies” that did what the mother instructed, so she never really went on an adventure aside from picking berries. Still, it’s awesome to have your name in your favorite tales.

I may consider getting a personalized book for me too. Just because. lol

Oh my gosh! Can you believe that I’ve never heard of that idea before? That sounds really neat. I’m not sure how I missed that as a kid.. Hah.. I’ll have to check that out! Thanks for pointing it out!

I also wanted to say thank you for the supportive comments and advice you left on my site not too long ago. I really appreciate it. I guess everyone has a hard time every now and then.. The whole “job thing” has just really been getting to me. Maybe when I pay off a few debts and accomplish a few more remodeling jobs around the house, I’ll be able to reconsider the job position. :? We’ll see. :star:

Today in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the sun is out and everyone is celebrating the Red Sox. Time for everyone to get a St. John Villa Rental. See them at http://www.sthohnvillarental.com

That’s a really good idea. It would be a really cool gift for a kid… And a good way to interest a child in reading. Who doesn’t want to read about themselves? :)

Aww that’s so special! I would have loved that when I was little!

Awww I love personal gifts like that, both giving them and receiving them. It’s nice to know someone put in a little extra effort to make your gift special. :)

Awl, I remember those books! My Nana gave me the one you featured in your post — the Christmas one, and another one.. I think it was called “My Birthday Adventure.” it’s funny because I was going through old books of mine today and came a crossed them. :)

They really are special gifts, and I’m glad that you were able to find a site that offers them. :)
