Married!
Ok, so I should have blogged last week sometime. But we pretended (as in we told everybody) that we were still on our honeymoon.
Sooo… I know there are at least a few people that would like to know how things went, so here we go..
Cory stayed the night with his Dad Friday night so we wouldn’t see each other the day of the wedding. I actually didn’t see him most the day Friday either because he went down to the creek where we planed to have the ceremony to clean up down there. That turned out to be a wast of time really, it wound up raining on and off all day Saturday so we had it at the house instead. Thankfully Moma had the garden cleaned up and looking really nice.
Saturday morning I went to get my nails done. Cory actually got that for me on Wednesday (finger nails and toe nails) but I saved getting my fingernails painted until Saturday morning so that they wouldn’t be chipped. After that I came back to the house to help get things ready. Tammie cooked everything for us, including my totally awesome cake. Sense the wedding wasn’t until that afternoon we had all day to get things set up.
The ceremony was very short and not practiced the day before so no one really knew what they were doing.
I think that was the part that made me the most nervous. Cory was nervous the whole day, I wasn’t until Moma yelled “Ok! Is everybody ready?!” That was when me and my bridesmaids (Hannah and Kareen) were upstairs in my moms room.
While I was getting ready Moma wanted it to be her and Tammie helping me get ready. I was fine with that, but then my grandma wanted to be up there too and no one liked that idea. :/ So after she went outside to do something Moma told me and the girls to go ahead and get me ready so that my grandma wasn’t there. Well everything was great until I was in nothing but my skirt and Cory’s grandma came in! O my gosh.. Seriously, nothing but my skirt! I should have told her to leave, but I’m too nice to say ‘Get the **** out of here while I’m changing’. I wish I had now… But when things like that happen it is my first instinct to be nice about it. :/ It was better when Moma got up there and yelled at everybody that wasn’t in the wedding to get out.
Because after Cory’s grandma came up so did a bunch of other people, at least they waited until I was dressed.
So after a few pictures and waiting for everyone to get in the right place down stairs… Daddy and I walked down the isle. I have been told that he was crying. I don’t blame him a bit, I’m his only daughter. Djini (Cory’s daughter) was my flower girl. I had showed her what to do earlyer that day. I thought she would forget what to do, but she didn’t. I just should have also told her what to do once she was standing by Cory. lol. The main part I remember about the ceremony is Djini yelling “Kitty!!” during the prayer.
I couldn’t help laughing and the preacher said that he almost lost it.
She is only 3… I’ve been told that someone got a picture of that, with the cat in it. I haven’t seen it yet though.
O, I also remember the sand part. Instead of doing the candle lighting we did a sand ceremony. While we were pouring our sand in the jar Cory started chasing my sand with his. lol. He said it had to be mixed good.
After the ceremony there was a bunch of pictures taken. Then finally there was food.
Cory started asking about food as soon as the ceremony was over then got all sad when I told him he had to wait until the photographer was done taking pictures.
Once it got dark we shot off fireworks.
That started out as a joke. Cory said it once and it just stuck with me and I loved it. We also had sparklers lining the walkway as we were leaving. No one thought about how smoky it would be though. lol. I’m not sure if anyone got any pictures of that or not. I’m sure the photographer would have but he left before then. We did a fake leaving before he left though with the bubbles we had gotten. I can’t wait to see the photographers photos.
Anyways, I’ll blog about the honeymoon later. I will have photos soon too. ![]()

Was the wedding really stressful? About how much money did it cost? I want to see your dress! And I hope my wedding goes like that - with people laughing and a cat.
