Well, I finally got a new layout up (that I made). It only took me…how long? I don’t really know how long I had that last layout up, but it was too long for such a boring layout. :/ I really like this one though. The kids are my step-kids (Djini and Jeremiah). I took those a few weeks ago when Cory hung the tire swing for them. I have pictures of him on it too, but I decided to just put the kids on here. He probably wouldn’t want me to put his up anyways. 
I had to mess with the code quite a bit to get it to work right…but that’s my own fault. Most of the problems was because I put a /div where it didn’t belong. It’s amazing how that one little thing can mess everything up. That and it’s been a while sense I have messed with a wordpress layout. I think there are some codes that I’m missing though…stuff like despair (which isn’t up anymore) and mybloglog. Oh well. Not that big of a deal, really. Anyways, let me know what you think of the layout!
Today was what I’m calling my first real day at work. Sense they didn’t really have me doing anything on Tuesday, and Wednesday I didn’t go because I already had plans for that day. Well today I was busy all day execpt for the hour lunch I had. It wouldn’t be so bad and I could be a lot more productive if it wasn’t for the stupid government website I have to enter stuff into. First of all the site was thrown together only 5 days ago, then they expect every car dealer to be able to start using it all at the same time! So the site still has bugs and it’s being overloaded with with uploads constantly. So yeah, it’s a pain. Mostly annoying really. I’m used to my computer going at a decent speed and my internet even better..so waiting 5 min or more per uploaded page is driving me crazy. I might see about changing the file size tomorrow to see if it will move a little faster.
Oh, and not only is it slow..but it kicks me off all the time! Between Explorer telling me that I don’t have an internet connection (which I did the whole time because I had other pages open and working fine) and the website saying that there are unexpected errors or too many people on, it took me all day to get four deals in there. :/
One thing about being busy all day though is that the day goes by pretty fast, untill about 3:30. That’s when I really start watching the clock for some reason. Or maybe I did today because the website was going even slower and being even more stupid by that point. Oh well, as annoying as it is it’s still a job….and really not all that bad. 
I’ve had much worse jobs.
Well, I started work today. I wasn’t supposed to start until Thrusday, and I was supposed to be doing something else, but my grandma called me this morning (she works there too) asking if I could come in today and do some computer stuff. I thought real quick of the list of things I had to do today (realizing that it wasn’t much of a list at all) and decided that if they gave me about 2 hours it would be fine for me to come in! The reason I needed two hours is because 1) I was still in bed and needed to get dressed and such and 2) I needed to do dishes and run by the bank and 3) it takes about 45 min. to get there!
It was a pretty boring day. The computer stuff they wanted me to do was really simple, execpt they didn’t have everything they needed. I could have actualy gotten some things done today if they had had the signatures they needed on some papers and other papers filled out. Most of my day was sitting and waiting, and aparently being forgotten about (atleast that’s how it felt).
I’m not really complaining though. I got paid pretty well for just sitting in a big comfy office chair all day! It’s a little weird being back to work. I havn’t had a job sense the very first of Feburary. For a while I still had school to fill my time, but once I was done with school I didn’t have much. Sense I graduated college this last semester I wont be going back in the fall, so I’m glad this job came along when it did.
Anyways…as you can tell I changed the layout. It’s just a premade one from the wordpress site, but I think it’s pretty and I’m hoping to get some inspiration to make my own soon! It’s not really so much the making it…it’s putting it up and working out bugs that always seem to be there!
Well, if anyone lives around this area or has seen the news or weather lately…you know about the evil ice storm that hit. Well where I live they declaired it a disaster area. Yeah, it’s that bad! I don’t think there is a tree around here that still has all it’s branches. It looks like a tornado went through and only got the trees. Thankfully none of my family or friends had any damage to their houses and everyone either had heat or was able to go to someones house that did have heat. I’m staying at my parents house for now. They have a propain heater and a generator. The only time I really notice that we don’t have electricity is when we start cooking. We have been going over to my grandmas to eat because she has a gas stove. Thankfully she lives just across the yard.
It all started Monday. I was getting ready for classes when my Mom called saying that the weather was going to get bad and she thought I should come and stay at her house. So I did. I didn’t think it was going to be as big a deal as it was cause I only brought 1 change of clothes. lol. I also forgot things like my phone charger and to leave the water running a little so that the pipes didn’t freeze. :/ Once I realized how bad it would be I started worring about the pipes and tree limbs hitting my house. We went over there on Thursday though and everything is fine. Actually there is one tree down and a few limbs but nothing like at my parents house. (I’ll have pictures sooner or later.)
As far as the electric goes at one point they were saying that it could be up to 3 weeks before we got it back. Now my dad is thinking sometime today or tomorrow. But sense I live in the oposite direction and farther out, it will be longer before I get electric to my house. I think the only good thing will be that my bill won’t be so high this month. O and did I mention that 90something percent of the town I live in was without electricity for a while. Yeah… They have electric people in from everywhere and truckloads of generators in the mall parkinglot. I wish I could get one right now, that way next time I might be able to stay at my own house. I mean, I have a wood burning heater, so the cold won’t be a problem. I would just need some way to get hot water and to heat up food…o and ofcorse I would need internet!! lol. Then again, it would be better to wait till summer to get one, they won’t cost quite as much then.
Anyways, while this is going on here my hubby is in Iowa with a phone that has died and without money because the company he works for aparently forgot to pay him for one of the loads he took. The port thing on his phone where you plug it in to charge it stoped working. So now he can’t charge his phone. He managed to stop at a verizon store earlier, they told him what was wrong and took out his battery, put it in another phone, charged it, then put it back in his phone that way he would have battery for a little longer. It died a little while ago though. So now I probably won’t hear from him untill Monday. 
Also, I quit my job at WalMart. Now I just hope people start needing websites very soon. I put up one flyer Monday before the weather got bad. I will print a few more this comming Monday and put them up at a few other computer shops.
Alrighty, at some point I will actually have a little something about me in here, untill then, this is all ya get. :P Sorry. O and there will be a picture too. For now I'm going to work on this layout. It's almost done. :)
